I was sorry to learn that an NSYO member, Nina Marie Hovaas, died May 27, 1982 in a bicycling accident in British Columbia. She was on her way home from university on her bicycle, when she was fatally struck by a bus. She attended Horton High School in New Minas, and Acadia University before attending the University of British Columbia to study music. I shall always remember her in her long yellow dress hugging the her beloved bass as she played.
