I was very happy to meet with the late Georg Tintner and Gregory Burton backstage at a concert in Halifax. We talked at length about the new repertoire. I congratulated Greg on being named the new Music Director of the NSYO, a post he held for the next 18 years. Greg is also an NSYO alumnus, in fact his name is listed in the trombone section on the NSYO LP recording of "Peter and the Wolf."
