Concerto Competition

The 2008 Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition is open to any instrumentalist or vocalist aged 22 or younger, who currently resides in and/or maintains a permanent residence in Nova Scotia. Competitors should provide a recent recording, (no older than 6 months and preferably a CD) of a standard concerto or group of operatic arias, a current resume and two reference letters from recognized professional musicians, supporting the application. Audio tape or CD only please! One long or two short concerto movements is fine.

Applications should be received in the NSYO office no later than April 28, 2009. An independent jury will select a winner to perform with the NSYO in scheduled performances during the 2009-10 NSYO season.
